Welcome to the Ugie Folk Club

Who Are We

We are a small Folk Club based in Longside in Aberdeenshire. We have been running for over 25 years. We have played host to many great acts and bands as well as running an annual Folk Festival. We pride ourselves on our friendliness and inclusivity. We welcome all players of all abilities – Singers, instrumentalists, groups, reciters of poetry and tellers of tales, we’ve welcomed and enjoyed them all.

Where and When

We meet on the first Friday of every month (weather permitting) at the club house of the Longside Football Club.

For any information or if you want to perform at our club, please contact

New Year’s Day Session!

Our annual New Year’s Day session will be taking place this year at 2pm in the Longside Football Club Function Room.
Come along with your Instruments, your hangovers and your New Year goodwill.

The Football Club is doing full breakfasts from about 12pm. What better way is there to start 2026 than a full Scottish then some cracking music – and maybe a small dram into the bargain.

Next Meeting

As the New Year’s Day Session is on the 1st and the January meeting is due on the 2nd, we have cancelled the folk club night.
We’ll see you all at the February meeting
*** Feb 6th at 8pm ***
